How This Calculator Works

Labour Cost/Unit = Total Daily Labour Cost รท Units Produced/Day Total Daily Cost = (Direct + Indirect Workers) ร— Daily Wage Monthly Cost = Total Daily Cost ร— Working Days

Labour cost per unit drops significantly with higher output. Doubling units produced halves your labour cost per unit.

What to Include in Daily Wage (CTC)

For accurate cost calculation, include: Basic salary + DA + PF employer contribution (12%) + ESI (3.25%) + bonus provision (8.33% if applicable) + any other allowances. This gives you true CTC (Cost to Company) per worker per day, which is what the factory actually spends โ€” not just the take-home salary.
