Actual Load (kW) = kVA × Load% × Power Factor
Fuel Consumption ≈ Actual kW × 0.27 L/kWh
(Industry standard: 0.25–0.30 L/kWh for diesel)
Running a DG at 70–80% load gives best fuel efficiency. Below 50% load, fuel consumption per kWh increases significantly.
