How This Calculator Works
Leakage (LPM) = Inlet Flow − Metered Flow
Leakage % = (Leakage ÷ Inlet Flow) × 100
Daily Loss (KL) = Leakage (LPM) × 60 × Hours ÷ 1000
Industry benchmark: leakage above 5% is significant, above 10% requires urgent repair.

Water Leakage Detection Methods
The most effective method for detecting pipe leakage is night flow analysis — if your flow meter shows flow during a period when no process is running, that is leakage. Other methods include acoustic leak detection, pressure testing, and dye testing. Even small leaks of 10 LPM running 8 hours/day waste 14,400 litres — over 14 KL every day.
